THE OVERLOOK
The inspiration behind the name of our property, The Overlook offers breathtaking views of our pristine 55 acres! You’ll see the timber frame metal roof of The Forge off to the right, our own vineyard and flower gardens off to the left, hay fields and cows all around setting the scene for the perfect destination event..
THE FORGE
The industrial style timber frame structure of Ledford Works blacksmith shop is home to our modern, rustic groom’s suite. This space offers 360 degree mountain and valley views and makes the perfect backdrop to any cocktail hour or reception. With dinner under the stars and the lights of the workshop behind you, this special space is like none other. The groom and his party will enjoy this spacious suite located adjacent to The Forge. Gentlemen will enjoy the football game on our flat screen TV with other amenities such as kitchen, full bathroom, corn hole, and axe throwing. Unique to Overlook 55, is the once in a lifetime knife making experience with History Channel’s 2X Forged in Fire finalist Caleb Ledford. With our Exclusive 2 day package, the men will enjoy the memory of forging their own knife from a rail road spike creating a take home memento of the weekend’s celebration.
THE APPROACH
One of our gated drives approaching the main home and gardens often serves as a small intimate space for you and your guests to gather in the dappled shade of the sugar maples lining its path. This beautiful drive overlooks The Terrace Lawn and has two large cypress wood gates with rock columns as the focal point.
THE FLOWER GARDENS
As a natural sanctuary, The Flower Gardens are the most romantic haven any bride could ever dream of! Nested in the center of the property, it is truly the heart of the farm. Roses grace the arbors that beckon guests to enter and meander through its paths that come to life every spring with an abundance of color and fragrance. Sunflowers, peonies, and hydrangeas are just the beginning of all that blooms throughout the season. It is the quintessential backdrop to a most spectacular wedding ceremony setting.
THE CROP CIRCLE
With 360 degree views, The Crop Circle sits atop a manicured grassy knoll in the center of our hay field. Ideal for a cocktail hour or ceremony site, this scenic space lends itself perfectly to unique circular seating for guests. While the bride and groom are the center of attention, guests may enjoy a glimpse of farm life as our rooster and cows may choose to join the celebration from a distance.
THE WILLOW TREE
The rock outcropping just outside of the main farmhouse with trickling water is a beautiful space just under the willow tree. Bermuda grass, a wood farm fence, and shade makes a perfect spot for your ceremony.
THE TERRACE LAWN
One of our most beloved spaces. The Terrace Lawn is just above the gardens and adjacent to The Approach. The wisteria arbor with flat rock paths can serve as a bar and beverage station, your buffet, or a lavish cake and dessert bar, Our large outdoor wood burning fireplace and our farms vegetable garden will create the perfect atmosphere for your evening soirée. The lush year round green fescue grass creates another magical space under the stars.
THE HAY BARN VISTA
This breathtaking oasis offers mountain, valley, field and stream views. The perfect kept space for your afternoon or sunset wedding or cocktail hour.

THE RIDGES RESORT

Our maximum capacity for a seated banquet is 200 guests, which we can accommodate garden style, tented, or in our brand new timber frame pavilion coming spring of ‘24.

Access to all of our event spaces for up to 12 hours depending on the package you select. Overlook 55 includes many necessary items such as a selection of chairs, tables, place settings, and staff for setup and breakdown.

We would love to discuss availability for your event. Overlook 55 gives complete attention to one wedding per day so exclusive availability is limited and books quickly. Peak season will book more than a year in advance!

We offer a complimentary tours based on availability, and by appointment only. Tours take a couple hours and since our property is an outdoor facility, br mindful of inclement weather.

We make planning your destination wedding, and ease with a complete list of contacts and information regarding local accommodations in the area. we will be happy to call on your behalf and block rooms assist however possible.
